Prison Service Charity Fund Donation

Dear Whiston Hospital Charity,

My name is Emily Boardman and I would like to donate the sum of £1,000 on behalf of the Prison Service Charity Fund, of which both myself and my dad are committee members.

On 20th January 2021, my dad, Phil Boardman was admitted to Whiston Hospital and diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia. He then spent 2 weeks in the Intensive Care Unit and a further 2 weeks on the High Dependency Ward, before being discharged from hospital with oxygen support on 17th February 2021. Presently, my dad still requires Oxygen Support when exercising and is still under the care of Dr Badawi.

Throughout this scary time, the care and dignity he was given from the Whiston Staff was incredible. The daily updates from the Family Liaison Officers, Emma, Cathy, Kirsty and Margie were appreciated more than they will ever know. As well as the nursing staff, cleaners and HCA’s all making time to have a quick chat to myself and my mum on FaceTime to update us on dad’s progress and lift our spirits.

We will forever be in debt to the staff at Whiston Hospital and would love the opportunity to arrange a suitable time to meet with the Charity and possibly, Dr Badawi; who is my Dad’s consultant, to present this cheque on behalf of the Prison Service Charity Fund.
I would be grateful if you could email me back to arrange this.

Yours Sincerely

Emily Boardman
