Jayne Byrne Zipwires to raise donations for the Lilac Centre
Jayne Byrne (C&M Endoscopy Network/Acute Oncology) took to the skies on Saturday 8th October, along with her daughter - Elizabeth, Wayne Longshaw - Director of Integration and his partner, Rachel to travel at speeds of up to and over 100 mph down the world’s fastest zip line in North Wales, raising £1380.63 for the Lilac Centre in the process.
Jayne has been working in Cancer Services following her own diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer last year.
“At a time when it was SO needed, the wonderful care and support I received from all the staff within Breast Care was amazing. Their expertise, warmth and calm confidence made my journey far less nerve-wracking than I had expected and I wanted to do something in return to show my appreciation for the work they do and say a great big thank you”.
